What was your scariest experience that made you a believer?

First time commenting so sorry for any mistakes!

When I was a teenager I went exploring a small abandoned castle in my town with my friends. We explored the rooms of the castle for about 30 mins and then decided to look in the stables/shed area outside. I think this shed bit was added on in one of the rebuilds as it is much newer than the rest of the building. It has a corregated metal roof that is very rusty and sections of metal are bending and flaking away. Anyways, we went into the shed and when we went to the far side of the room it was much warmer than the rest of the building. This was on a calm day in the middle of winter and where I live is quite cold so we all noticed it, it was like there had been a heater on there. We started joking that there was a ghost in that part of the room. As soon as we said that we heard a massive BANG from the roof directly above us. One of the bits of metal had smacked against the rest of the roof, and it was sooo loud. It was a really still day so there was no wind that could have caused it. We were all scared shitless at that point and didn't stick around for anything else to happen. I think that there was something there that wanted to make itself known to us. Have firmly believed ever since.

I learned the castle has a pretty spooky history, it has burnt down twice and apparently some soldiers in WWII had a party there where a woman fell off the cliff and died.
