What was your worst client experience? What was your best?

i worked with client who is mod and verbal. She was a preteen, I was able to create a menstrual cycle program for her. There was limited resources on this topic specially for spanish speaking parents. The parents I worked with were co-parenting so it was bit awkward for the dad to learn everything about this. it was multiple program within this topic. We focus on tacting, lr, interverbal and problem solving programs. My client was able to identify her body parts and how no one was able to touch her. She able to put on a bra and take it out. Also how to put a pad and how to wrap with toilet paper. I used a fake underwear and pad made out of cardstock and lamination. I was able to create 3 different blood stains so she knows when to change her pad. She also learned to not talk about her period with males and to ask help to females. Overall, it was awesome experience with her.

Worst experience 1. Before having a miscarriage, I requested to be removed from case where the mom was karen and the child,5, was very aggressive. I told my director about the situation, i wouldnt want to put myself at risk. Fast forward, the director used this situation to tell me how im incompetent I am and how I avoid aversive situation with difficult parent. I wasnt ready to be supervisor even they promised and made me leave a position that paid me more. 2. Getting kicked in the vagina right after my miscarriage 3. Getting kicked, spit and scratch ontop of healing scratched 4. Getting a playdough thrown at my face in a close distance 5. Getting slap and my glasses falling off 6. having parent compliant daily about me, the supervisor praising me like this “thank god you got better, the mom finally stopped complaining about you”. 7. Being recorded by the supervisor and having 2 hour meeting to get “corrective feedback” i couldnt say anything because i would be “defensive” 8. same supervisor and bcba takijg credit for programs i created 9. Being told why i didnt have diabetes or high blood pressure. Being shocked that i didnt and how they were terrified that their daughter would be obese. 10. Being told i got sick too much but the oarent lived a family of 13 and every person was sick every other week. Same parent that was karen would say to go get my blood cells count. 11. A client had play tent, BCBA said “if she could fit inside, then i could fit in “. I2. My bf got hired, i was forced by my bcba to let the director know and they used to created gossip. One time me and bf got sick and eneded up the emergency, i told my supervisor. The next day the supervisor said “wait, dont they know we know they are lying. If they wanted the day off they could of said that and not lied” i provided medical documentation as proof. 13. being told be another bcba to not come forward about sexual harrassment happening in the office with another bcba. 14. Talking to hr, just to tell me they couldnt do anything about the misconduct in the office. 15. Being told to have certain task (developing programs) done and indirectly told to not bill for it and work for free.

There’s probably much and worst more, I just cant remember. I finally quit after 4 years.
