Thinking about becoming a BCBA

Hi! So here’s what I think. Many companies actually do offer supervision. You want to accrue as soon as you are able when you are preparing to be a bcaba or bcba if not you will not finish as fast. What I’ve noticed is unfortunately some companies are just lousy. If they can’t support your career goals you can easily move to another organization that offers supervision and even mentorship so that you have some guidance through the process. Don’t even hesitate to bounce if the company doesn’t fit your needs. I had to do it when I was accruing because they didn’t have anyone to supervise and sign off on my hours. So I was losing out on supervision hours I could have received for months. I’m glad I made a move because I located a great company that even paid for me to take prep courses before I tested. Best of luck. Just look around for better options they are there!
