Whats everyones beef with fasttech?

How Fasttech works: * They go on alibaba.com and buy a bunch of stuff in wholesale for dirt cheap. Then they list those items on their own website with nice specy webpages for deriving wholesome profits as a reseller. * It takes about 3 weeks to get anything shipped to the US so highly recommend getting non-essential stuff i.e. not some RDA that you wanted yesterday. * If you cancel items before they are shipped, you may or may not receive an adjustment refund applied back to your credit card. Always remember to check your credit card's recent activity whenever dealing with China-based e-commerce sites. Open a support ticket immediately if you should have received a partial refund on your card and it's not there. * A whole bunch of items on their site are counterfeit / defective (quite obviously sourced from alibaba.com and 40 thieves) so it depends on your luck factor as to what you'd get in the mail. Some things would work right out of the box, and then you'd have no idea why the other shiny thing didn't work at all. * So you got a wrong / missing / counterfeit / defective / item. Happens all the time. Now what? You can open an online ticket for a refund: http://support.fasttech.com/. * If it's a return, expect to sit in their support queue for a few days just waiting for a reply. Looks like standard practice to avoid returns one way or another. * Then they'll waste your time asking you to upload pictures of issues and then again avoid a return by trying to force a replacement on you. * They actually do have a [secret] returns warehouse in Florida not listed on their returns page: http://www.fasttech.com/pages/shipping-and-refund-policies but they won't tell you that. Neither will they issue an RMA return shipping label. They'll first ask you to ship return items all the way back to China at your cost and then you have to upload pictures of the shipping receipt to file for a reimbursement of shipping expenses. Apparently, this is also a standard practice in that country and they'll even tell you they have no idea what a RMA return shipping label is. Again, remember to check your credit card's recent activity after they say they've reimbursed shipping expenses -- say one thing do another tricks are quite common with China-based e-commerce sites. * If you really press their support team, only then they'll agree that you ship back those counterfeit / defective items to their [secret] Florida returns warehouse: Cloud Commerce Systems Limited 8345 NW 66 ST #B1111 Miami, FL 33166 Of course shipping costs may be reimbursed only upon uploading pictures of the shipping receipt. It will feel like you are taking some workload off their fanatical support team but this is how it is. * Always use a credit card with decent customer service where you can go dispute a transaction and get your money back if it didn't work out. Paypal might not be the best option.
