What's the typical duration a startup can sustain a position assuming no revenue/additional funding?

Imo, to answer your title question I would assume, and correct me if im wrong, by “sustain a position” you mean continuing normal working standards. my answer would be little to none, you don’t have money, how are you paying for bills and employees?

If someone asks you this hypothetical question, remind them that its hypothetical. What they are asking is if your idea is valid or not, because at that point, no investors are buying your idea and no customers are buying your product so why continue? just remember that no one can predict success, and reiterate what you’re doing and how you’re trying to help solve people’s problem(s). Also if you can, show them evidence that you’re gaining customers or revenue, in reality they are just uncertain about the idea or the cause you working for. you have to sell it to them.
