I've been trying to figure out why 4:3 content on Netflix always seems to be randomly presented. There are no settings in the Tivo Netflix app for adjusting the aspect ratio.

I just discovered that while Netflix Tivo app has no settings for aspect ratio, it respects the Tivo 4:3 content aspect setting from the last time you watched a 4:3 video. So it you had it set to zoom, The Netflix app will present 4:3 content zoomed. But if you press the aspect button while in the Netflix app, it will exit to the Tivo menu. Ugh!

So what you need to do is start the 4:3 content in the Netflix app. Figure out what aspect you want to watch it in (full, panel, or zoom) then bail out to live TV. Set the aspect ratio. Then go back into the Netflix app and restart the video.

All this could have been avoided if the Netflix app would let you change the aspect ratio.
