look i absolutely love living here while claiming domicile in a completely different state and I'm largely unaffected by any of the states governmental bullshit because I live off grid as much as possible, but to pretend that California isn't absolutely wrecked in many ways compared to most other states is 100% throwing the blinders on and ignoring facts... if you have the funds to piss away and not care about any of the aforementioned scenarios, then great, you'll get along just fine, but if you're an average citizen you better have your ducks in a row and a damn good plan.
