When/where should I drive traffic to my site?

I really like your idea, Sam. It would be really cool if you were able to get this going even before your 2 year goal!

Adwords can be very disheartening and tricky for a beginner going in blind. Depending on marketing, the first 1k or so will be for learning a bit about what works. I would highly recommend taking a course on it beforehand.

Further, do you have a pretty fair aim on your ideal customer? Will it be someone that is familiar with different essential oils already, or will you target people that stumble onto your products while looking for solutions to something else?

For example, would you want someone to find you by searching for "Juniper Oil" they may want it in pure form to then create their own products, or are you aiming for someone searching for "all natural diuretics"? Giving context and application is great to keep people on your site shopping, or at the very least, looking long enough for it to lower bounce rate and establish your site as a credible source.

Something you might want to look into is Long Tail SEO. Its basically making content for your site that targets a longer string of keywords that aren't as competitive, and a way to make slow/steady growth. There are plenty of tools and tutorials on it on YouTube.

There are sites that have great ROI on just one product, but they're often sites with a lot of great content on WHY someone would by that product. For example, since a great number of Americans are uninsured, or have high deductibles, there are a great deal of affiliate marketers that target a single product as a home remedy for x, and sometimes that product is something is silly as an infoproduct. So don't worry about having two products for now, just try to give more reasons for your ideal customer why they either need that product, or need it from you specifically.

Hopefully something I said was of help. Would be glad to be of further assistance if you like. Just PM. I really enjoy working on these things.
