Where is ok to ride a OneWheel?

Be a responsible and courtious rider, and you can typically ride anywhere. In my particular town, legally, the OW can't be ridden anywhere on public property.

It's got a motor, so illegal on bike/walking paths and sidewalks. It's not a registered motor vehicle and is also slow compared to traffic, so it's not allowed on the road.

So where do I ride it? On trails, the sidewalk, and roads. I am simply respectful of my surroundings and of people's property. I wear bright colors, I wear safety equipment, and I do my best to clearly signal my intentions.

Pre-covid, I also attended numerous city council meetings and spoke in support of electric vehicles usage in town. In short, I've found that by simply being the kind of rider that I'd want to see if I didn't have a OW: I want both adults and kids to see me and think "oh that's cool!" instead of "that asshole is going to kill himself or someone else"
