What is the most hurtful thing a medical professional has ever said to you?

Took my then one year old son to the ER because of facial paralysis. One side of his face had just gone droopy with no other symptoms. Turns out the hospital I went to was a teaching hospital, so the resident, a guy that couldn't have been more than 26 years old, comes in and couldn't figure it out, but instead of being sympathetic, he gets excited and starts bringing in other residents. They're all pointing and discussing as if this wasn't my child and we weren't all very scared and close enough to hear what they were talking about. I finally raised my voice and asked him if he would kindly talk to me about a possible diagnosis. He starts listing a few possibilities, then he looks up at me with a wide grin and was like "Or it could be a brain tumor. I've never seen one in person on a patient so young before!" I think he realized what he had said and how he had said it immediately, but regardless, I lost it. He left, the attending came in and apologized, etc. Anyway, it was Bell's Palsy.
