Where do you stand since all of the bestdressed controversy?

“ a significant portion who I assume are not Asian”

I think it’s unacceptable to dismiss...that a portion of Ashley’s audience...are Asian women. Like...how do you know, that those who are voicing their concerns, are NOT Asian American women? Ever thought that maybe the ones who are, could be those affected by the issue? It shows your ignorance and your lack of sensitivity. Asian woman who feel invisible and misrepresented already, such as myself, feel even more so from a content creator they looked up to because that influencer encouraged feminism and political awareness for everyone, including Asian American women.....has become radio silent.

So yeah, I am gonna bash Ashley and show my disappointment.

“Ashley’s absence from YouTube consides with AAPI, ...being fetishized online...stalked in her own home?”

Posting a simple picture (that doesn’t show anything from her home or from her private life) that can simply say “I’m rebranding my brand to be PURELY fashion” which will remove the “political activism” that her brand has encourage previously. And not to mention, it will relieve pressure from her to post until she settle her situation first. My gosh... communication...what a concept.

I don’t want her to be another Christina Grimmie, a talented YT musician who was killed by her stalker. Ashley is doing something right: moving to a new apartment and limiting her private life until things settle down. What she’s not doing right, in my eyes: not communicating and not reposting simple information & resources on IG of AAPI. Why? It’s something she has encouraged for a long time intertwined in her sassy humor. If she can post ads, so why not AAPI? It shows her stance on the issue. It shows consumers why they’re here: fashion and how “woke” and “relatable” she is that she has engraved over and over in the ass of a dead beat horse in her content for years. Isn’t that contradicting? Importantly, it still keeps her life private in the situation she’s in. Again, no reveal of her new home, what outside the apartment looks like, who’s she hanging out with and etc. No information that the stalker can used. Am I saying posting political statements is more important than her life? No, but there are also provided resources, that are not the police, that women who were in Ashley’s situation she can easily contact with. Back on subject, why is postings ads are ok but not AAPI repost (at the minimum)? Why do you think it’s ok for a platform to be quiet when an issued that they’ve shown great interest in the past is finally resurfacing with big enough support?

It’s triggering for her? That’s funny. She posted a TikTok about modern whitewashing this month. Is that not a AAPI issue? She posted an IG story when she first moved to NY, comparing how she’s become aware that her ethnicity could be a safety issue and now knows what “black men and women feel everyday. “ But here we are. No posting about Xenophobia, an issue she brought up then and now...when there’s a COMMUNITY showing their support during these sensitive times when “Kung Fu Virus” has become a new household insult for the smooth brain of racists.

It’s triggering...are fucking kidding me? A platform that wants to raise political issues is quiet because she’s triggered... Politics and sex is triggering and you’re saying...

Walk the talk or rebrand but I’m officially gone from this community like the invisible audience you assume don’t exist.
