MLK fought for civil rights. But that didn't affect much besides government policies.

So you're saying changing an entire government policy (one that many people at the time were against changing) isn't much? No one claimed he ended racism. If that's what you think the issue is you need to see the bigger picture. There is definitely less racism in the U.S. than there was in the 60's but that isn't the point.

I don't use it to end discourse. I use it SOLELY when someone who isn't even nearly as skilled as the person they are talking about goes overboard with criticizing their techniques and such.

Even on a Blink-182 subreddit, it's not normal to speak on behalf of members. You don't know if Mark has been talking to Tom. I don't know if Tom is rejoining Blink.

That doesn't have to with anything. That was a discussion from weeks ago that doesn't apply to this. You have used the "it's just a band" or similar statements on other subjects.
