Concerning X's:
The problem with all X theories, is that they do not take into account that the X's are locations pertaining to the large boxes on the Mural. This is why both the left and right boxes on the Mural are separated by a line at the bottom, to offset them from the Egg. The 5 X's only pertain to the left and right boxes of the Mural. And, their connection to this middle line signifies their relationship to the entire mystery, as a cohesive whole. Notice the lines on the Mural all tie back to the single line down the middle, connecting everything to the Egg and Eye.
Those locations, using logical deduction, and proof from the game itself, would be:
Left: 1. Underwater UFO 2. Hippy Camp UFO
Right: 3. Lester's House (which clues you in to the "Desert UFO") 4. Altruist Camp 5. Zancudo

These are the only 5 locations in the game that logically tie into these 5 X's. Furthermore, the Mural employs duality as stated before, which was built in by the designer. One example of this is the fact that the 5 X's also represent the glyphs, which there are 5 of. Another example is the large X formed in the sky, which is another piece that adds to your understanding of the nature of the mystery. Another example, which was used as red herrings, are the many X's littered around the map, meant to divert and confuse. Does everyone not agree that this is exactly what has happened? Finally, it must be understood that the 3 boxes at the bottom are symbolic of something deeper as I have shown, which you learn from investigating the locations that the X's pertain to. So, the Mural has two defined meanings: locational, and most importantly, symbolic. It tells a story through symbols and clues found in the locations depicted on the Mural. The outcome: observable commentary on current events told through symbolism.
Concerning the Hippy Camp:
Notice the mound with the 6 boxes. This is meant to resemble a miniature version of Chiliad. The glyphs themselves are mirrored, which also give you the clues necessary to trigger the UFO on Chiliad, when combined. Just West of the Hippy Camp is found the Sand Glyph, which points to Chiliad, and clearly mirrors the '6EQUJ5' WOW! signal found at the Hippy Camp. The Hippy Camp is a mirrored version of Chiliad, and it clues you in to another piece of the mystery. The Hippies themselves represent the deception of man. Again, the proof is in the fact that they are worshiping aliens, when in reality, it is the government. This is obviously intended to mirror real life alien believers, and shows the observer that it is not aliens whatsoever, but indeed, man made government technology in order to control and monitor the population.
Concerning the Lines of the Mural:
The lines on the Mural represent the maze toward finding the truth, and the connected nature of everything involved. Notice the Maze Bank, and the red lines which mimic those of the Mural. Notice the 'Egg of Life' fountain, and how these lines scroll across it. This is all done on purpose. They are not meant to be blatant, as to mislead the non-discerning eye. These same lines make their appearance on another important piece: the Textile City Mural. This mural also contains these same form of lines hidden in the background. This particular mural sheds light on various subjects of the mystery, as does the Maze Bank fountain. So then, it stands to reason that these are legitimate pieces to the mystery, for they contain a plethora of clues, which brings me to my next point concerning legitimate findings.
A Guide For Using Checks and Balances:
Everything which you test, be it a theory, or a symbol, must be checked and balanced with the common theme of the mystery--the common thread. If it does not tie into the mystery using these guidelines, then it must be omitted. This saves valuable time and endless assumption--it also omits 99% of theories. The common thread is there, and I have documented it. So use that as a starting point for your future theories. In order to find anything, if there is anything at all further to find, it must follow this common theme, and you must adhere to it. The reason for this is simple: the game repeats the same imagery over and over, and as I have shown, it all follows a theme. Therefore, it stands to reason that if there is anything to find, the answer will come from understanding this theme and all that it encompasses. I have not said there is or isn't anything more to find, and it is irrelevant in the end what I personally believe. I show you the facts and true interpretation of this symbology, and its usage, and whether you believe in these subjects is also irrelevant. Something else which must be taken into consideration is the understanding of game mechanics--what is possible, and not possible within the game. Understanding this properly also omits a large list of theories, which are not grounded in the logic of the game mechanics.
Concerning the Nature of the Subject:
Since the mystery is made up of symbolism, and you are wanting to solve said mystery, you must then understand the symbolism it uses. This is simply a fact. In no other way will you understand what I have shown without first understanding the subjects being shown. It does indeed require deep study. There are many theories with no real understanding of what exactly everything means. The reason: the misunderstanding of symbolism, and the belief that symbolism can be interpreted many ways--it cannot. You are dealing with real world symbolism, and in order to understand it, one must understand them in the real world--there is no other way. Since we are dealing with Masonic symbolism, I will use a quote to prove exactly why I am right about interpretation, and the need to be able to see the real meaning and intent behind the usage.
Albert Pike, whom was a 33rd Degree Freemason of the Scottish Rite, and was the most well respected leader of Freemasonry during his time, said in his book 'Morals and Dogma'-
"Masonry, like all the Religions, all the Mysteries, Hermeticism and Alchemy, conceals its secrets from all except the Adepts and Sages, or the Elect, and uses false explanations and misinterpretations of its symbols to mislead those who deserve only to be misled; So Masonry jealously conceals its secrets, and intentionally leads conceited interpreters astray." -P.105
A Warning to the Community:
Finally, since this is an ever growing problem that I see reaching a new high, I feel this should be addressed. This is a warning to those that are seeking the truth. Be aware of the following. What will continue to happen is this: more theories popping up on a daily basis, backed up by absolutely nothing whatsoever, and a complete misunderstanding of the symbology. Some recent examples follow. The X shadow which was recently "discovered" and propelled by YouTube personalities is nothing at all, and will provide no insight into anything whatsoever, but will only serve as the catalyst to more numerous overlays and pareidolia, none of which are viable or correct--and never will be. The Mural is not meant to be an overlay, as I have shown--it is impossible. The reason for this also lies in the fact that you would have to know the true dimensions of the Mural, and the map which it is to overlay. Since they exist in the 3D realm, and since there is no way of knowing the true dimensions, it is therefore impossible. The only way an overlay would work, is if you had two pieces of physical paper laid upon each other. But, as I have shown, the Mural is not meant to be an overlay whatsoever. It was not meant to be read upside down. It was meant to be seen exactly as it is on the wall.
Their job is simple: steal someone else's theory, then inject it back into the community to propagate misinformation and confusion. And people are eating it up like candy. Most of the time, if not always, the theory is completely wrong or founded on poor logic. As another example, the 'black cell phones' recently found is nothing more than code left in by the developers--there is nothing more to it, and it too has provided nothing. Notice, none of these theories ever shed light on your overall understanding. Many of the theories being strewn about can be debunked by following my guideline for checks and balances as outlined earlier.
Finally, be aware of people claiming to work for Rockstar, and misleading everyone in the process. This is happening more and more, and most do not have the fundamental understanding of the subjects to differentiate lie from fact. Anyone claiming to be from Rockstar should be ignored unless substantial proof can be provided. Anyone claiming to be under an NDA is outright lying. Anyone who claims to be from Rockstar, and does not address the symboloy presented within these pages is most definitely lying to you. It also must be understood that only a small handful of people were aware any of this existed during and after creation of the game.
