Where can I buy amazing salsa?

Seriously make it yourself or if you’re really feeling lazy then go to a Mexican market like Cardenas and pick something from the Deli. If you want to do a basic, authentic salsa that you’re going to find in every Mexican’s home then follow this loose guideline:

On a hot grill or pan sear about four tomatoes (or 7 tomatillos + 1 tomato for green salsa), a couple of peppers of your choice such as serranos, jalapeños or canned chipotles if you want some good smoky chipotle salsa, a quarter onion and a clove of garlic. Sear the garlic at the end because it will burn otherwise. You’ll want to sear all of the vegetables on all sides until they’re pretty blackened because it gives the salsa delicious flavor. Transfer the vegetables to a blender and add a little bit of water, chicken bouillon seasoning (knorr Mexican is best), and a half lime. Add cilantro if you like at the end and blend to your desired consistency. It’s so easy and from there you can add your own twists like beer, a squeeze of orange, etc.
