So who do you think sent those stealth ships? No book spoilers, seriously, just don't. Spoilers up to episode 8.

Tasteful comment from a book reader: yes and no... Lol. We'll see how the show portrays it out to fit the format.

From the timeline impression I've got, show only, (because it's different in the books) is that we have Julie only seen aboard the Anubis. She's been wearing scopuli gear, but never seen her on there. This means she was definitely on the Anubis during the cant's interactions with the freighter. We have no idea yet when or why she got moved off the scopuli, but I'd guess by her begging to be let out, it was by force.

Now, she is only seen at the start shoved in a locker begging to be let out, until finally, dehydrated, and starved, she forces her way out. She has to cut her way into the reactor room to see a creepy disembodied head and blue goo all over the place.

My guess is the Anubis was already parked around its asteroid after rabbitting away from the cant explosion and Julie, being tired, dehydrated, starved, and now confronted with creepy goo transforming people into more goo on top of a reactor, she shuts down the reactor. No sense in continuing to feed the goo energy. Especially since space travel between different places in the belt, let alone transits from saturn's orbit inward would take days to weeks to months depending. So after ending up from Saturns orbit to the belt by that asteroid, spending more days with growing goo doesn't make a lot of sense. (They make references to travel times in the show, but not nearly as often as the books, the one hopefully tasteful book fact is that they rate a trip from Saturn to the belt to be at least two months at constant acceleration and deceleration, each way, if I recall, so keep that in mind, they're not Star Trek warping across the solar system in an instant).

If parked around the asteroid already, we know she took a lifeboat off, which means she pops off the ship, probably already infected if that goo is a spore former, and tries to get to someplace where she might get help.

She turns up on Eros and uses an OPA code name to call for help, maybe she tried sending a message to Fred from the asteroid first, which is why he sent the roci over there.

Anyway, Julie's little OPA distress beacon of calling herself Lionel Polanski gets her a rescue op, but it gets there too late (I.e. Holden and co), she's already dead as a doorknob in a bathroom covered in growth things.

So, based on the show, I don't think they're portraying Julie as someone who's in the position to nuke the cant or even do much flying of the Anubis. I could be wrong though!

As for the goo, you'll have to watch and read to see for yourself. (God damn it, it's almost as painful as game of thrones book spoilers...)
