Who wants FI but to never retire?

It's not something to applaud in any way, tbh. A 100+ week could look like this:

  • Get in for pre-meeting at 7.30am. Start team at 8.45am. Work all day, divide tasks to people at around 6pm. Keep working on, receive inputs by 10pm, insert into slide deck, correct mistakes etc. Leave office at around 2.30am, in bed by 3am. =18,5 hours (2 x 15 min breaks for food excluded).

  • Get up Tuesday 6.30am, little tired, have lots of coffee. Repeat Monday, but home 1am. =17 hours (35.5 hours accum.)

  • Wednesday is hectic, first client presentation is Thursday morning. It gets late, leave office 4am, happy with the product so far. =19.5 hours (55 hours acc.)

  • Thursday is a late start at 9.30am for presentation 10.30. Client is happy, but needs revisions to core strategic premise - more work we don't really need for Monday morning. We re-group, do new data analysis, re-work deck. It gets late again, leave office 3am. 17 hours (72 hours acc).

  • Friday brings good news; deadline extended to Tuesday. I get in at 9am, have breakfast with team, work starts 10am. We scope out what needs to be done to have a strong pre-run Monday, still quite a bit of work left. Send team home at 7pm for a Saturday 10am start. I work two hours more, go out to meet with friends at 9pm. 10.5 hours (82.5 acc).

  • Saturday is hectic. People have slept and are ready to kill this deck. No attitude about weekend work, great. We have a great work day in the office, get lots of work done, everyone stays late. At 11pm we're happy where we are, wine is brought up from the canteen and we have a few glasses. Sunday is final touches from team leads, the rest of the team is sent home for a rest day. 12.5 billable hours (94.5 acc).

  • Sunday I meet with the data lead at 10am. We decide to re-run an analysis as something about a number sticks out to me. It turns out, we were right, but we need to re-do the conclusion of that analysis. We stay until 5pm, then data lead goes home. I finalize the deck and spend a few extra hours honing our storyline, I'm really happy with what we have. I leave at 8.30pm. 9.5 hours (104 hours acc).

So that's how that can be done. Not all weeks are like this, of course - we usually have the weekend off (it's actually a priority). I work in advisory services, have a boyfriend who's also in a high-paced job, so he understands.
