Who's hiring in Portland? Monthly edition for April 01, 2015

THIS POSITION IS NOT LISTED YET

I am the night shift lead of the Paint Mix department at Commercial Aircraft Painting Services, LLC (CAPS) located on the SW end of the Portland International Airport. The company works on a contract from Boeing, painting new 747, 767, 777, and 787 aircraft.

One of my coworkers is leaving in two weeks, meaning his spot will be up for grabs. The job is in a department of only 6 people, the boss is a great guy, and the work environment is fairly laid-back a majority of the time. If you are a cool-headed, dependable individual who won't hesitate to jump in and get dirty when work needs to get done, we'll get along just fine.

The job is 55hrs a week (5 days/12hr shifts with 1hr lunch and 2 scheduled days off), 7PM to 7AM, and pay starts at $11/hr with medical/dental benefits made available at greatly reduced cost after 90 days.

No experience is strictly required as I will conduct on-the-job training with you, but previous experience doing stock work, driving a forklift, decent mental math skills, and a general knowledge of chemistry would serve you well in this position. Lifting objects sometimes weighing in excess of 60lbs is required.

Employees must pass a stringent background check, initial and random drug tests (no marijuana even after July 1st), and not be on the no-fly list or otherwise be disqualified from working on an airfield.

If this all sounds like a good fit for you, PM me and I'll give you the full details on how to apply. Department supervisor and HR have final say on hiring, but I'll do my best to keep your application on top.

I'll post again in next month's thread for visibility since April is rapidly drawing to a close.
