Will Miami recover? [special call to Miami fans, but open to everyone]

Not until they have their own stadium... It hasn't been the same since the OB was torn down... When they are down fan support is not great at all (it is Miami after all) but when they start trending in the right direction fans will come in packs, a very fickle bunch indeed.

Recruiting hasn't been terrible but they are still in 3rd behind FSU & UF (UF gets a pass this season for switching coaches but still might pull a few big time recruits). But there is still enough talent in this state to win championships with, you just need to beat FSU & UF to it.

Money has never really been there and that has been an issue. They aren't poor but they aren't getting donations, etc. like other schools are but they have before and will certainly make do in the future. The Adidas will certainly help.

An on campus stadium will never happen. Period. The City of Coral Gables would never allow such a thing, while logistically speaking, two-lane roads like Ponce De Leon Boulevard can barely handle random weekday traffic, let alone a home game on a Saturday during fall.

Tropical park is the answer for the stadium. 275-acre park It is located just 3 miles directly down Miller Drive from campus (Sun Life Stadium sits 17 miles from campus in Coral Gables); there is already a 7,000 seat stadium on site where many high school games are played, providing the perfect footprint for a larger venue; traffic would be less of a concern as two major highways intersect next to the park; there is ample land for parking both on site and across Bird Road.

IMO the stadium is the first step (although it is a big one) but until the team has a place to call home it will just not be the same and they will not be taken seriously. You can't sell recruits on a barley filled Sun life stadium or big games against FSU where the Seminoles buy more tickets than Canes fans.
