Is Matt Rhule now the top candidate for CFB head coaching vacancies?

I don't know about that. I don't think it's a bad option IF they don't hire Leonhard.

I think it's more about how much pressure he's interested in putting up with, and how much of an impact he wants to have on the program.

If he goes to Auburn, there's going to be a good amount of immediate pressure to win.
If he goes to Nebraska, he's going to have a lot more leeway, but it'll eventually be "Why haven't you won a natty yet?" if he starts doing well, and he'll never be Tom Osborne.
Colorado is kinda similar to Nebraska, with even more leeway.

But ASU I think is the one that's the most interesting. Current expectations are effectively "Get to a bowl game and win the conference occasionally." So if he goes in there and does what he has done at Temple and Baylor, he could be THE guy for ASU.
