I was quite happy to read (one of many) James Gunn’s updates, one in particular mentioning taking a comprehensive look at the current selection of shows & films in production and creating a more “unified” universe (as opposed just making an outright blanket “we’re slashing everything” statement, you know?

I had the impression he was (at least) sensitive to the shows which currently attract viewers. I have faith that If he and Pat decide to cut ties (with any show really): I trust we’ll get another, worthy alternative! They’re acutely aware of the valuable assets which have been abhorrently neglected, i.e.: Superman all the way to Bat-Mite! (See-I’d never even heard of BM until TSS (a James Gunn written and directed film).

TL;DR: I like to think Titans and Doom Patrol have well-established fan bases and (while we may not be HUGE-by any stretch of the imagination): we are a loyal group and therefore execs can rest assured: x number of viewers will watch it (whatever level of quality content)! Hell, I mean…we’ve stuck w/Titans through some wacky ass narrative choices…if the show were going to suffer a drop in viewers large enough to threaten it’s loss, I suspect it would’ve happened following one of the many major…interesting choices (just guesstimating) such as: Donna Troy’s untimely death, Trigon being defeated in the season premiere episode S02E01, the bucketload of cheap tropes used to push narratives-Dick using kryptonite dust to cripple Conner (to temporarily prevent him from trying to join), the entire “purple rain” concept, <cough> I’ll stop there…
