No longer trust my mom - no idea where my toddler will go when I have second baby this spring

I moved a whole state away from my family. I had no one to take my 4yo son when it was time for me to give birth to my second. My water broke at 12am and I ended up laying in bed on my side for 7 hours until a reasonable hour, then called a sort of family friend (the old tenants of the house we rent) and asked it they could pick him up and take him to his kindergarten.

I ended up going to hospital, had the baby less than an hour later (no joke, hard labour was about 25 minutes), and went home an hour after this so I would be home when my partner picked my son up.

It's terrifying to not have any support when you need it. It you need to pay for your daycare to look after him for a bit longer then absolutely do this. At least if you do this you will know he is being taken care of and safe.
