I mean, it was true what you wrote that they wouldn’t work out …

Kyrie, Harden, and KD will be a horrible trio. Harden needs the ball to play, KD doesn’t need it as much to score 30+ a night but that’ll still take up ball time. Add Kyrie to that equation, who hates being the sidekick, you got a great team on paper but it’s gonna be horrible. Kyrie is gonna have to learn to play 3rd man to KD and Harden, physically and mentally.

But I don’t think most of the reasons you gave were what panned out. A lot of people said the same thing, and there was a whole running joke about there only being one ball, now to be shared.

There was never any issue with playing when they were on the court together. This fact many people got wrong.

But what you said about Kyrie’s mental state being important was spot on!
