I work for a Lyme literate doctor

I'm not entirely sure how she got into it, but I know for a fact she could be making a ton more money elsewhere and the only reason she does it is because she is truly saving lives.

Only a fraction of our cases are lyme or co-infeciton related. Most of our patients, regardless of their case, are very complex and come to her because of her "out-of-the-box" thinking. She has a big ole' heart and spends an incredible amount of time with all of her patients, even the simple wellness exams and routine checkups.

Many patients are uninsured or have insurance that rarely pays us... but she sees them anyway and a lot of the time at a discounted rate. And let me just tell you that the practice is not "rollin' n the doe" by any means.

I can see why people who aren't familiar with complex cases may scrutinize LLMDs: there is a lot of trial & error, negative testing, required follow-ups, and herbal regimens that can add up... but it's all necessary and I know that almost all of our patients would agree.
