Discussion: Are the hand crafted maps of xcom:eu better than the procedurally Generated Maps of xcom 2?

For future games, I'd like to see a larger variety in plots that are handcrafted and parcels/PCPs that fit them. Some examples: * Shopping mall - stores, stalls, benches, fountains, etc. in an indoor map * Sea port - shipping crates, various interchangeable docked boats, chryssalid whales, etc. * City terrace - Ever notice how huge the city buildings look in the background of city center maps but we end up fighting around the same two story buildings? An elevated urban plaza which can be found in other sci-fi/fantasy settings like Coruscant would be cool with appropriate parcels/pcps that fit together like the network tower plots. * ADVENT Headquarters: Long War 2 basically took a lot of wilderness facility parcels, which seem to be made out of cardboard in the base game, and mashed them together for their HQ assault missions. While it is cool navigating and and through the various buildings, it's just not as cool as when we assaulted the aliens hidden base in Enemy Unknown or when the aliens assaulted the XCOM base in Enemy Within. It would have been cool to see an ADVENT themed base with randomly place sectors leading to a boss room. * Urban Alien supply barge: Take the supply barges from Enemy Unknown and put them in a city map with welcoming civilians and train and truck depots.
