Would you ever do the show?

Yes, just to get the chance to travel, as well as have a shot at a million bucks. That said, I wish I could have done it a decade or two ago. Teams were given a lot more freedom. At pit stops, they could explore the surrounding area, visiting shops, restaurants, immersing themselves in the culture. Now, they are sequestered. Not only that, but the show in its heyday was like a true balls to the wall travel and competition show. You had to get your own tickets for any public transport, research and attain tickets in regards flights, be proficient with a paper map, have a little bit of proficiency at a wide array of languages, trust your gut when it came to directions received from locals, pray that God was on your side and the cabs would fall in your favor. All of that just sounds... exhilarating. In our hyper-aware and overly-technological world, there isn't room for doubt or uncertainty. All cabs have GPS systems, tickets are bought for you now, paper maps are no longer needed, most everyone across the globe has a little bit of proficiency in English. It creates a less dynamic and more static environment. All of it comes together to make the race come across more polished and telegraphed, if you get what I mean?
