I Wouldn't Care if Jesus Christ Himself Wrote the Star Wars Prequels

The Prequels seem to sit in a weird place and have become oddly polarizing by internet circles. I'm a big star wars fan and have done the full watch order (1-6 prior to new movies) many times in my life and eventually switched to the Machete order which I liked and have also done repeatedly. I have watched the prequel movies probably 3 times in the last 4 or 5 years.

All that to say, I think they have some entertaining moments with many many flaws, but at this point in internet culture I think a lot of people don't want to admit how bad the movies were because (1) memes to be honest, (2) nostalgia since they watched it as a child, (3) the clone wars which spawned off of it are awesome, or (4) faded memory. So I see a lot of fervent denial or defense of the movies when like....you really don't have to people. After the last watch through I just decided I'm not going to watch the prequels anymore of my own volition because I knew I was forcing myself through it to get to a few entertaining moments out of a 7 hour block of movies.

If you have watched them recently and still enjoy them, then great I hope you continue to do so, but it was a bit of a relief for myself to stop forcing myself to watch them because people kept defending it and making me think I was missing some master strokes in the films.
