Have you ever (correctly) had a gut-feeling to dislike someone who, on the surface, was a cool person that everybody else liked? What's that story?

Going to be a long one My manager hired a guy who was pretty friendly with everyone and had a charming reputation but as soon as I met him I just couldn't trust him or like him. He worked there for 2 months but this is all what happened during that time: He called another co worker fat even when repeatedly told not to Spun a story how he was evicted and was telling the manager while she was serving a table she being the kind hearted person offered him to stay on the second floor of the restaurant which was a big dining area which we only used for large reservations. During that time I was renting the apartment on the third floor for few months and he thought instead of using the second floor for few weeks he was going to wait until I moved out in 2 months instead of trying to find a house. As the second floor did not have any kitchen I agreed to let him use the kitchen on third floor. During this time he would leave the dishes piled up in the sink that would stink, instead of taking his food downstairs eat in the kitchen while talking to people on phone loudly. My manager had left some of her stuff back at the apartment in little workspace he went through all the stuff and asked my manger if he could use her old laptop. He left his garbage piled up and had to tell him many times during the day then had to basically threaten him by saying that I was going to throw all the garbage on his bed . He used my prescription acne faces scrub and finished it all up. And then when my manger asked him to move out after 3 weeks by telling him on Monday that she wanted him out on Sunday he had audacity to ask her if he could stay there for 25 more days. Finally what takes the cake he brought a friend of his during his last week without consulting with the manager to train as his replacement. I hated this guy
