Some years ago, I earned my undergraduate degree from BYU and the only bad experiences I had were with the Honor Code office. I understood what I signed when I chose to go there. I wasn’t perfect in following it but, for the most part I lived up to my end of it. However, encouraging students to fink on each other is appalling to me. I dated and was friends with a number of athletes while there. The Honor Code office called me in to try and recruit me to tell them if any of the athletes I knew we’re partying, etc. They wanted me to spy on them. I can still feel how angry I was. I told them to shove it and walked out. Their entire reason for existence needs to be reviewed.
