i get what you mean and in all honesty i totally agree with most of this and the times that i've been guilty of this i've regretted it. that being said-- there's an obvious difference between privileged whining and venting to fellow students about common issues because they ARE confronting the harsh realities like i dont think anyone complaining abt how hard their classes are has just given up yk? if ur working on it what's the issue?

but in general i agree, at the end of the day like 95% of this sub are college students in the same demographic, n a good chunk of us from the same sorts of socioeconomic backgrounds or regions. some of that is inevitable and ngl this sub is never gonna become 100% what you're looking for but i think one takeaway from this is that we can be a little less eager to jump on the downvote and namecall bandwagon when it comes to anything even vaguely political lol. just my 2c
