At ~1:15 ET, the GOPers in the House will likely pass the AHCA. They're doing it now because they don't want anyone to see analysis by the CBO about how bad it will be. Even employer-provided plans are at risk.To appreciate how bad the bill is, realize that they exempted themselves from it.

From your link:

You’ll pay whichever is higher.

Percentage of income

2.5% of household income Maximum: Total yearly premium for the national average price of a Bronze plan sold through the Marketplace

Scenario: 63 year old is forced into early retirement, does consulting work (paying ~$60k/year) to try and tide them over until social security/medicare/retirement kicks in.

Average cost for 60 year old... 2016 - $650/month 2017 - $750/month

$700 * 24 months = $16,800

The average cost was lower in 2014-2015 when this occurred. It would be MORE expensive than $15k if it happened this year. The reality is that the individual mandate if bullshit.

ACA supporters don't think beyond their own low income and/or corporate slave experience. Entitlements for all except the "rich" (meaning anyone that has an income of more than $60k and works for themselves).

The American dream of living an independent lifestyle is dying, the ACA is a big nail in the coffin. Not that the AHCA is much better.
