1200/1400€ pc for photo and video editing ?

Here it is! :)

CPU: The i7 5820K with its 6 execution cores will do excellently in your editing and also with gaming. I recommend OCing the crap out of it for a lot more performance.

CPU Cooler: The Thermaltake Water 3.0 is in my opinion the best closed-loop CPU Cooler there is and will amazingly.

Motherboard: The MSI X99 SLI Plus is a good motherboard with great OC ability.

Memory: 16GB 3000MHz may seem overkill but it is at such a great price I figured why not, it gives a lot more future-proofing.

Storage: A 240GB SSD should be enough for your OS and most used programs and applications.

Storage: A 1TB Drive for mass storage.

Video Card: A GTX 970 will handle games at max settings at 1080p and a lot of games at good settings at 4K in the future too.

Case: The Phanteks Enthoo Pro is a well-built case with amazing build quality. I recommend removing the HDD cages because keeping them in makes it quite loud.

PSU: A 650W fully modular Gold-rated Power Supply will suit this build well.
