In the 2008 Democratic primary, Hillary Clinton won the popular vote but lost the delegate count to Obama. No riots.

Thank you for this, now I can really mess with some of these hypocritical dolts.

"HILLARY SHOULD HAVE WON BECAUSE MORE PEOPLE VOTED FOR HER! THE SYSTEM IS SO UNFAIR!"

"She won the popular vote in the Democratic Primaries back in 2008, but you weren't making a fuss about it then, were you?"

"YEAH BUT THAT'S BECAUSE 1) WE WOULD BE MAKING HISTORY EITHER WAY 2) OBAMA'S POLICIES WERE ACTUALLY BETTER 3) I DIDN'T KNOW"

"Well then, 1) That means you just openly admitted to being racist and sexist in your political views favoring Hillary, being racist against whites, and sexist against men, since the precedent for a "qualified" president to you is based not on policy, but on biological genetic make-up 2) So the popular vote system only matters when it favors the candidate you prefer? 3) Then you clearly didn't give much of a damn about politics in the first place, stop looking down on us as if your opinion carries any more weight than ours"

Seriously, their entire basis for argument is based on overlooked hypocrisy and fallacies strewn all over the place. We're against LGBT rights for voting Trump? He promoted LGBT rights at his rallies and held up LGBT flags to show his support. But you wouldn't catch that on CNN, would you? Yet you find it perfectly acceptable to shoot us down when we try to inform you that the MSM isn't what it makes itself out to be.

We're against blacks? He is literally advocating for the improvement of African American lives without putting them on a pedestal ABOVE the rest of us. Oh, wait, that makes us racist? Not putting them above the rest of us? Yeah, whatever you say.

We're against Mexicans/immigrants? Did it ever occur that Trump might actually only want to deport the ones who broke the law to get here in the first place? I mean, I get that it's sad that families will get broken up and stuff, and typically the children aren't to blame at all in these situations, but is it actually America's obligation to fix their home country's problems? If anything, they should start getting their crap together in those countries and follow America's example if "we're so great" and maybe elect people who can put them on the path to greatness, too. And I get that sometimes it's America who exploits these third-world countries for our own profit and contributes to the poverty, but have you considered that maybe it's YOUR screwed candidates who keep getting thrown into authoritative positions who make/let this happen? Besides, come January, we'll have someone in office who will actually work towards fixing these exact problems, and I'm sure he'll be more than open to taking suggestions. So maybe it'd be a good idea to actually show him some respect and give him a chance, instead of trying to incite violence and start a shameful excuse of a "revolution" with closed ears and blood in your eyes.

We're against Muslims? What are you so afraid of that Trump could do to them, start a witch hunt and execute them on sight? Make the entire practice of Islam forbidden in the US? For someone so paranoid, you sure have a lot of audacity to be calling Trump supporters "tinfoil conspiracy theorists" given that WE actually have a credible basis for the outlandish, yet factual claims we make. You won't even accept that you played the game of American representative democracy and lost. Instead, you promote violence, hatred against the "enemy," and use racist, sexist, and xenophobic generalizations to classify who is worthy of even being seen as "human" or just another Trump-supporting "sub-human" to you.

These people need to get the hell off their high horses, open their eyes, and wake the hell up. They have no grounds to be saying or doing the things they're advocating for online and off when the very fact of the matter is that they'll actively ignore facts such as the popular vote system if and when it goes against their personal agenda, (sounds like a certain country's MSM right now, eh?), but will wholly support it if and only when the results land in their favor.

And they wonder why Trump won the election.

Sorry about the rant, sometimes I just gotta argue with this twisted logic to vent the frustration. Arghhhh
