if you dont mind getting 2nd hand you can try swappa... I've bought the 1tb cellular model with 6gb ram for around $1200 brand new. I activated the device for the first time and warranty started the day i turned it on ... the time i purchased there was two newish ipad pro for around 1200, so I'm sure you can find one even now.

For the same price I would have only gotten a 256gb cellular model on amazon plus there would be tax. Only thing for buying off swapps is that I woudl highly recommend buying a newish ipad that is less than 60 days old so that you can buy apple care+ still. Also you might want to be careful buying 2nd hand ipad with already active apple care+ unless you know that they will call apple and transfer the ownership to your name... because they can cancel and refund the care+ whenever....
