It sounds like the job opportunity is more that they need people in NYC more than LA. I’m just trying to make this objective as possible and it seems like NYC is probably more of the same but different scenery than actually a move up. However given the ad industry in NYC you might be able to transition to another agency while there and move up that way.

I really think you need to make this decision more about personal reasons than career since this is just doing the same job but in a different time zone. I think this just comes down to if want to live in NYC without your dog.

If I was in your situation I’d want to do it just so I know how living in NYC is but I’m not sure if I could do that without my dog.
