28M - US>Philippines (open to other suggestions)

I appreciate the thoughtful response. These are definitely all things I've been thinking about. The Philippines may not be the answer, just something that was floating around in my head. I used to spend time with a girl who grew up and still spent a lot of time there. Must've wormed its way in.

I lived "off grid" for a couple years in the US, very simply, growing food and trading labor/goods for other needs. Small shack with solar power for lights at night. No phone or other electronics. Gas for cooking. It's the kind of life I want to get back to (to some degree), but potentially somewhere else on the planet. Only left that situation because of issues with the landowner.

I imagine it would be hard to get land anywhere on this planet. That is not lost on me. Definitely why I may have to lean more toward a lengthy trip, maybe WWOOFing in a few different countries, rather than expecting to be able to start a home anywhere. And, who knows, I could figure something else out in that time.

Thanks for your time :)
