I come from a shamanic background so maybe the forces we interact are simply different than those of the more western witchcraft world but please, respectfully, take great consideration into what you read and especially what you visualize.

We believe words and symbols carry immense keys not only to our subconscious, but also to the cosmos and especially the finer more ethereal elements in between. It’s a major part of the reason why these shamanic traditions (and in the past, moreso of the occult) tend to be passed down orally, to both control the flow of knowledge and avoid its misuse. Our tribes, and likely many others see the West’s deeply written texts and perverse obsessions with magic and witchcraft not only an affront to the energies that allow such phenomena to exist in the first place but also incredibly irresponsible to the greater good of all those we share this earth with.

Miss Helena Blavatsky is famous for saying something along the lines of, ‘there is no such thing as black magic, the only thing that makes magic dark is the intention of the user themselves’ and that is in essence what we teach and try very hard to impress on others with passing interests in these forces. Because, as cliche as it seems at a glance power absolutely requires responsibility, but more than that in these contexts a cool head with an objective ability to quell ones ego as completely as possible. Now think, how many people do you or anyone reading this know that is by and large, free of vice or spite or resentment or anger? How many of them are fighting depression or anxiety? How many of them do you think truly and honestly are not interested in the occult for personal gain first as opposed to enlightenment or community enrichment?

To think not verbalizing something negates it of its power, in a world where most people are eaten alive by what they think and never express, is not only dangerous but ignorant of the universal ripple effect ever present in our world. Very often in our experiences much more is said and learned upon journeys with eyes closed and no outward expressions at all than those spent chanting or dancing or reading.
