So, after +3k hours, I got banned.

I can't speak for your case and I hope you will recover your account if you didn't do anything.

For my personal case I got banned one year ago, for trying to sell my account, with more than 5000 hours played and like 6000$ spent. I will perfectly understand people will disapprove my act but I'm totally assuming it.

After years of playing I got severe health concerns, motion sickness being the most impactful. I got several heavy health issues and money became a problem. I couldn't play any more so I decided to stop playing and try to get back some money I spent over the years. Somehow GGG made the link between my "vendor" post on a website and my PoE account without any clue on how they achieved this.

I know most people would blame my actions but I deeply consider my microtransactions my property, I bought them I own them. I didn't even try to sell characters or currencies, there were just Supporter packs and a lot of MTXs. I didn't want to be a regular seller and be a part of a black market, just wanted to transmit my account and move on.

I tried to speak with the support, I made a lot of emails over the last year and each time they refused giving me any proof of my act, neither telling me how they discovered it. They rejected me like I never supported them over the years, rejecting any possibility of giving back the account or any refunds, which I understand from their point of view in some way. But as a player and customer I consider I got rights, especially living in Europe in France, regarding digital property.

I decided to hire a lawyer but this takes a lot of time. I've been waiting 6 months from now because I'm waiting for a financial help from justice department. I'm hoping I could engage actions soon. My lawyer thinks there is definitely something to do here but can't go any further without the financial help approval. There are many cases of bans here on PoE but there is one main common concern, GGG's behaviour acting like a tyrant, whatever people did something or not. People should have the rights to have an open discussion with GGG, why and how they got banned, and have clear ways to contest it.

Microtransactions in game industry is a huge concern and horribly treated. In my opinion if you can't access the game anymore you should be able to get back your money. I will go as far as possible with my lawyer even if this takes time, I may be on a small scale but I wanna try to change something.
