[Ainge] Lonzo Ball has refused to work out for the Boston Celtics.

Lonzo doesn't want to play for the Celtics.

I agree. All I'm saying is that OP is misrepresenting Lonzo's demeanor by manipulating the language. (clickbait)

Here's a similar, fictional example. Let's say you're at a street corner with your arms full of grocery sacks. There's a little old lady who needs someone to hold her hand to cross the street. She asks for your help but you politely decline "I'm sorry I can't" because your hands are full. Now, the next the day the headlines read:

Reddit user Brakk- refuses to help an elderly woman in need

See how it changes? It paints you in a negative light, even though you were polite. This is the same thing that OP did to Lonzo just now.

TL;DR
Lonzo doesn't want to play for Boston, so Boston OP and Boston news sites are painting him in a negative light by misrepresenting his demeanor.

I don't care if they do or don't do this. I was just pointing out that it's interesting how the language and people's resulting perceptions are manipulated.

If OP had said the truth:

[Ainge] Lonzo Ball has politely declined to work out for the Boston Celtics.

This submission would have about 10 upvotes.
