I don't think you know what down syndrome is, or what they are capable of. I have a sister with down syndrome and she can do everything on her own. The only difference between her and other kids is how long ot takes for her to understand things.

Also diagnoses while the babies are notborn yet, can be incorrect. I knew a fanily who had this happen, low and behold their baby didn't have down syndrome.

I know you are just looking out for your daughter, but this is her baby and her life. You can't control it, she already made her descion so telling her to get an abortion won't do much. She already knew that was an option, and didn't pick it. She told you to get your support, not your opinion on abortion.

The part where you said the human race should strive to be as healthy and fit as possible was kinda hard for me to read. Sounds like you are saying down syndrome aren't making the cut for you, and we should just kill them off.
