Alberta/Western Canada Blood Testing?

I apologize for the late response. At 7 weeks you wouldn’t get a reliable test result with an igg. Most likely it will come out negative if you’ve been recently infected. Unfortunately, for the most accurate results, you must was up to 6 months, it really depends on how fast your body develops antibodies I haven’t been able to find anything in Alberta for igg or western blot tests. You might be able to get the western blot done as long as you have a doctor that can draw the blood for you, then ship it to the university of Washington. That’s the gold standard of hsv testing. Igg testing can be done confidentially in US clinics, all you need to do is show up to a clinic that offers the service for a blood draw, pay the fee, wait anywhere between 24-72 hours. Of course this may seem like an inconvenience since you’d have to make the trip, but it’s the quickest way I know of. But again, an igg test would not be conclusive until 6 months
