‘Alt-right’? No, call it racism: Public Editor | Toronto Star

I mean, you could say Lauren supports Trans rights, but I wouldn't.

She did a video for The Rebel entitled "Lauren Southern becomes a man", to show how easy (her words) it is to declare yourself a different gender. She went to a GP and explained to the Doctor that she identifies as a man, and that she requires a note from a Doctor in order to change the gender on her official identification.

And to Lauren's surprise, the Doctor accommodated Lauren and gave her a note saying she identified as male. Afterwards when addressing the camera while laughing and giggling explained that all it took was to dress like a man. Did she expect a doctor to not give her the note? Why would a Doctor question someone's gender?

She eventually goes on to change the gender on her gov. ID (again, to Lauren's surprise), and aftewards explains that the gov. worker "played into [Lauren's] delusion".

I'm not sure what point this could possibly be trying to make other than an attempt to belittle the efforts of Trans, and Trans allies in gaining more rights and being recognized, and to mock the current work that has been done thus far.

The last line in the video is: "Society is going to come to a crossroads at some point, are we going to embrace reality or fiction?"

The video has ~500k views.
