Amateur MMA fighter taps out for his opponent

Jesus christ. When they're called MMA. I'll repeat myself: The three most effective styles in the MMA world are judo, boxing, and Greco Roman wrestling.

More MMA gyms teach primarily Muay Thai style striking over pure boxing. More MMA fighters have a base in BJJ over Judo.

You can add kicking from any discipline you want,

Completely lacking the obvious differences in clinch games between various striking disciplines.

and if you want to talk about Royce and GJJ that's fine but it's really just a combination of GRW & judo.

Which doesn't even make sense because BJJ is almost exclusively focused on grappling and submissions over takedowns, to the point where the average BJJ person sucks at takedowns and will even pull guard. How you consider that to be a combination of Judo and Greco-Roman is beyond me.

Futhermore, judo very specifically teaches punching on the ground and is known as "street judo."

Of which you don't seem to know any?

Here, lets try this approach. Lets say you were in a MMA or UFC style all out brawl with an opponent as well trained, or better than you. How would you get out of this.

If your answer isn't:

  1. By having my face punched in until I was taken away by an ambulance.
  2. By tapping out.
  3. I wouldn't.
  4. I wouldn't put myself in that position in the first place.

If you have any other answer then you are disconnected from reality and arguing from your ego. You clearly cannot see what the rest of us can see, and your experience in kickboxing/mma is irrelevant.

Lmao, the fact that you can't see the obvious fucking openings for sweeps and submissions means you don't know shit. Obviously that's not my preferred position, I've already said I prefer striking. To imply that there's nothing you can do from there other then be destroyed means you don't know shit about the sport. Enjoy boxing, you said you prefer it, so stick with something you enjoy and might know something about over arguing about something you're clueless about.
