Not trying to stir it up, but there seems to be no prior mention of this on the sub. Pretty amazing considering how fairly 'high profile' he was in the world of sports at the time.

Also what threw me off-- there's a "Chris Cwik" who regularly posts sports articles, and I always kinda wondered if it wasn't just Chase with a new ID. I'm still not sure, TBH.

In any case, Chase' major claim to fame seems to be how much he consistently found a way to piss everyone off. I've never seen anything like it, really.

Reading his obits though, it kinda sounds like he was... basically a well-meaning dude who liked to make people think? I'm still not sure! Still though, this is a pretty wild story, no matter how it ended.

Does anybody know more details about what exactly happened...?
