Why not both?

These problems can be avoided by pushing back releases a few weeks. I personally don’t care if a league lasts 4 months instead of 3. I’d rather have 3 polished leagues than 4 crappier ones. They’re gonna keep my business either way. I’m still gonna buy the same amount of MTX, etc etc

I stopped playing Synthesis after two weeks because of the tedious mechanics. I got one character to Level 82 and stopped after that. It got dull very quick.

I played Breach for two months straight. Polished leagues will keep me hooked longer, thus giving me more incentive to buy things. Granted this is all personal opinion, and some people may rather see quantity over quality. But I particularly disagree.
