Ever had a job? Stealing is already risky, but to steal as an employee is about the dumbest thing you can possibly do. I worked in AP at a few different retailers, and busting employees for stealing was a point of pride for many of the AP’s. Target also requires workers to go through the employee area to leave/clock out, which is in the front of the store. How do you propose he would have taken the funko from the BACK of the store, and get it out without being seen? Plus, if the manager had went to check the cameras, she’d likely gotten help from AP whose office IS the camera room. It’s pretty naive to think that those APs weren’t watching him like a hawk that day hoping to get another notch on their belt. He said he left it in the shipping box, so he probably put that bigger box in the baler and let it smash that way.
