I haven't read all your replies and I am just researching this and some other diabetic medications, but I wanted to say that I went from an obese to a nearly normal (26) BMI over several months some years back. I texted my brother (whom I hadn't seen since the year prior and whom I was getting picked up by at the airport) ahead and said something like "FYI-- I've been on a huge self-care and blood sugar control campaign and am much smaller now--you may not recognize me in your peripheral vision. Anyway-- I'm weirdly private about it all, so here's a recent photo and can you do me a favor and not gush or ask me a bunch of questions tomorrow? I know it's weird, but I'm just not comfortable having everybody focus on me..."

Anyway-- I just wanted to say I get it!
