Anybody know anything about this?!

But no one was run over.

Essentially a guy tripped over a bike being held by someone who should have moved it out of the way but wasn't paying attention. That collision is what leads to the bike getting hit and the person getting scarily close to getting dragged under the wheels.

Everyone could have gotten out of the way. In fact, you can see a car literally drive right through the circle as the other car is engaged in and standoff and no one is the least bit concerned. In fact, the one guy who is at the heart of this was safely on the other side of the street, waits for the other car to pass, then comes running across the street to engage with the police car.

Just everyone go home and be thankful no one was hurt and have a rethink. What was the point in someone almost getting run over for this bullshit? Are you really accomplishing anything for racial justice by listening to loud music hanging around on monument? Is it really necessary for police to be handle things like this if all people are doing is hanging around and there appears to be several police already?

The police officer can be disciplined for not following procedure if that is the case, or police procedures can be formally reviewed. But if you are out there protesting you have a responsibility to keep yourself and others safe. Even if the police are being jerks, then you figure out how to lower the risks despite that.

This whole thing to me is an example of pointlessly escalating a situation. If this continues then pretty soon, someone will get hurt badly or die. Is it really worth it?
