Anyone else feel like Legacy is the real end of PoE beta?

I get your sentiment, but don't agree with the phrasing. It feels more like we're reaching what could have been "Path of Exile 3" if GGG had approached the game like Torchlight or Grim Dawn.

At the end of Act 3, Dialla appears before you and deems you a full-fledged man/woman in terms of growth in power. If for some horrid reasons development never went further, that would have been an acceptable end to what felt like a full game at the game.

1.0 was a fully-released game that successfully stood on its own. It wasn't testing for some future release, it was entertaining players in its own right... as did and is 2.0.

Would any of you honestly say you didn't get (more than) a full game's worth from Path of Exile?

Legacy doesn't feel like just a throwback league, it feels like a reflection of how far the game has come

That is what a throwback should be like, in my opinion. Else where the industry has a habit of flopping a lot due to money-grubbing, so your sense of a "throwback" might be distorted.

As edgy and cool as it might be, Legacy isn't the end to some secret PoE beta. Legacy is the satisfying end to PoE 2.0.
