Here's a real world example conservatives LOVE to bring up.

Gina works at a bakery that makes wedding cakes. The bakery owner makes a big deal saying how they will make cakes for anyone- gay couples, straight couples, anyone. Just like how conservative bakeries WON'T make cakes for everyone, it's their decision. Private enterprise.

They spent the capital and time and effort building their bakery and their brand. Now, Gina decides she's going to say questionable things to customers who she doesn't agree with. These things hurt these customers and make them stop coming to this bakery. The owners talk to Gina and explain why her opinion is bad for their business and tell her to either pump the brakes, or feel free to bake cakes somewhere she feels more comfortable.

She says ok, but a few weeks later gets right back to saying things that cause issues. So now a large portion of your customers don't want anything to do with your bakery. Not only that, 2 star employees (Favreau and Pascal) went out of their way to explain to her why she shouldn't say those things. And yet she burned them. Why TF would you risk everything you've built for someone who can't keep their mouth shut for a few weeks? When they've disrespected you and your employees by not listening and are driving away customers? When they're not even that good at baking cakes in the first place?

The mouse cares about the bottom line. Gina obviously doesn't, and that's her choice.

Just like it was her choice to tweet anti-trans stuff despite Pedro's sister being openly trans. And her choice to tweet false holocaust equivalences despite Jon Favreau a) being Jewish and b) him already having to tell her she was on the chopping block for her asinine views when he went to bat for her before and put his own reputation on the line. He had to use a lot of built up social capital to get her out of hot water last time, and this is the gratitude she has.

What people who make your argument don't understand is, a LOT of people disagree with her. More people disagree with her than want her on the show after this. There's a reason conservatives are always "under attack." It's because the majority of people (according to Disney's market research, and therefore bottom line) actively won't support bigots and their bigot opinions, no matter how absolutely barely mediocre their acting is. So if you want to let the world know you're a bigot, don't expect Disney to sign your checks.

You're right about one thing, it's incredibly stupid she was fired. And it's ENTIRELY her fault.
