What’s the ultimate point of this show?

I was thinking about this earlier...the first two seasons, especially the first, I don't think it really mattered as much what the ultimate point of the show was; this is because the show was episodic in structure primarily, with the beginnings and ends of each episode having the serialized parts that tie together the entire season loosely....the problem now, or why I think it has become a more glaring issue is that episodic structure has been abandoned entirely, in favor of each episode existing solely as a part of the larger season and more importantly entire mandoverse narrative that Jon and Dave are trying to tell...the reason specifically this has become more apparent, as maybe a problem within the show or causing a feeling of listlessness or being a bit lost is that a serialized show has to be handled correctly and to do it right is one of the most complex and difficult feats in television. The ability to have each episode be part of a greater whole, yet still have each episode feel pertinent and intriguing to watch on its own merit, as well as because it is a vital piece of the larger narrative....the wire comes to mind as maybe the best example of when a showrunner pulled this style of television off solidly....

Disney however has not quite understood how to do this yet, instead their shows like this most recent episode of mando feel more like the entire season was filmed like it was a six hour movie say and then just chopped up in the most convenient parts to fill weekly release dates....see, they are trying to have a win win situation and instead are creating a losing all around reality instead. They want to have the show be like a six hour movie, yet they still want to stick to weekly releases, which in a streaming environment makes absolutely no sense. The need to go back to releasing the streaming shows all at once, allowing for viewers to binge the entire show at once, so there are no "episodes" that feel like they didn't really have a point other than wheel spinning.... Or, they need to go back to having at least some semblance of episodic storytelling like traditional TV , if they are going to insist on treating streaming like it is traditional TV.....

tl;dr - into, the main reason that it often feels like there isn't a clear point or reason for reach eoisode existing after watching one is that the streaming houses like Disney here for example, are creating a program that is made for a streaming platform, yet they then cut it up and try to pretend it is still traditional TV releasing it bit by bit, when it wasn't written or filmed for that type thing format, because streaming is not broadcast television.... But for some reason these mouth breathers cannot seem to understand that concept.... /blahg.
